How to Raise Funds with EIF

On October 14th, we held our first “How to Raise Funds with EIF” workshop with EIF.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗨𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗿.

And UVCA does its best to find the best opportunities for this, creating the Ukraine Redevelopment and Recovery Plan and reaching out to our European partners for assistance.

To date, we have given away 28 grants of $5,000 on average to the startups that stayed in Ukraine, within the "Support Ukrainian Startups NOW" program that we started together with the Free Ukraine Foundation.

On May 25th, 2022, at a round table along with the World Economic Forum in Davos, Oleksandr Bornyakov, Deputy of the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and Andrey Kolodyuk, Chairman of the UVCA Supervisory Board, presented The Ukraine Redevelopment and Recovery plan.

During our first joint workshop, founders and managers of Ukrainian VC/PE funds received first-hand information about the EIF, its current investment programs and products, its initiatives and opportunities, and best practices within existing programs.

This is a great sign from our European partners for further fruitful communication and cooperation on the way to restoration of Ukraine.

We intend to hold a number of similar webinars with institutional investors in order to expand the cooperation of European and global investment funds with Ukrainian investment funds, financial managers and market experts.

𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗨𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗿.

And UVCA is going to play a significant role in these processes.
