Details
Under the Twin Cities initiative, each city is built (or modernized) according to a specific project consisting of three parts: the creation of a Master Plan, a blueprint, and the construction of a Smart Industrial Cluster.
The master plan includes pilot and major projects. The pilot projects include the creation of a city’s copy in the metaverse, a digital twin, edge data centers, a smart financial platform, a cloud, and sensors.
Major projects include infrastructure development, digital connectivity, energy efficiency, water and waste management, public safety, healthcare, urban design, environmental sustainability, governance and citizen engagement, cultural heritage, smart agriculture, and resilience and disaster management.
The mentioned Smart Industrial Clusters should be located in each city and include global technology companies from Europe, the US, the UK, and Korea.
In summary, smart cities are created to enable sustainable, inclusive, and equitable conditions that can improve the quality of life for all residents, including vulnerable and marginalized communities.
