Congratulations to UVCA member Diligent Capital Partners on successfully launching a new €150 million fund with Dutch impact finance advisory firm 2ndAries to support the Ukrainian agricultural sector.

Backed by an EUR 75 million guarantee from the European Commission’s Ukraine Investment Framework (UIF), F4i is designed for speed and impact, channelling new capital quickly to where it is most needed to grow production, create jobs, and restore export capacities. The initiative will rapidly deliver financing to companies critical to Ukraine’s food production and exports, especially those serving MENA and Asian markets.

“Our top priority is the rapid deployment of capital,” said Dan Pasko, Co-Managing Partner at Diligent Capital Partners. “Farmers and agri-entrepreneurs can’t wait another year; they need liquidity now to sow, process and export. Food4Impact provides that bridge.”

Funding will go directly to Ukrainian companies in the food & agriculture value chain as private debt and flexible growth capital, giving them resources to sustain and scale operations.

Agriculture continues to be the backbone of Ukraine’s economy. It contributes more than 10% of the country’s GDP and accounts for 55% of all exports. “With its vast arable land – among the largest in Europe – and a favourable climate, Ukraine is one of the world’s top producers of wheat, corn, and sunflower oil. But it’s not just about fields and farms; it’s about a sophisticated, diversified sector that is among the least subsidised anywhere in the world,” added Gilles Mettetal, Chairman of the Investment Committee for Diligent Capital Partners.
