Discussion "So, what’s up in Davos?"

The Ukraine’s largest catalog of active venture capital market players is set for publication in late November. The updated Investors Book 2021 is expected to act as a comprehensive resource for finding up-to-date information about participants and activities on the venture capital market and a platform for showcasing the potential of innovative Ukrainian companies.

Investors Book, first launched back in 2017, is one of the leading initiatives for the UVCA Research Committee. With it, we strive to generalize the venture capital landscape in Ukraine and at the same time attract the attention of a wider range of international investors to the local technology sector. It is also a convenient and effective tool for Ukrainian startups that allows them to attract investment faster and not waste time on the ineffective search.

says Olga Afanasyeva,

Honorary Member and Co-Chair of the UVCA Research Committee, head of ELEKS Kyiv Branch Office.

According to compilers of the publication, Investors Book 2021 will contain comprehensive information about the domestic and foreign venture funds, accelerators, direct investment funds, incubators, business angels, and other organizations that are currently actively investing or interested in Ukraine. Catalog users will also see the main assets in their portfolio, investment strategy, areas of interest, and requirements for new projects.

Starting from 2019, USAID supports incubation, mentorship, youth entrepreneurship initiatives, and grants for startups. However, startups financing at the early stages are one of the key obstacles to the ecosystem’s growth in Ukraine. We expect that Investors Book accumulates updated information on all opportunities and presents the positive investment dynamics, providing ambitious entrepreneurs with tips on finding the best investor for their projects. The catalog will contain the high-quality analysis of the investors, ready to invest in Ukrainian tech companies, which will send a strong message to international business circles how can be their partners when investing in the Ukrainian tech industry.

underlines Valeriy Dobrovolskiy,

IT Sector Lead, USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine.

The Investors Book 2021 was created by the Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA) with the support of a grant from USAID through its Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine (USAID CEP), in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
