Summer 2023 was marked as a big step towards strengthening ties between Ukraine and the UK’s investment ecosystems by the OXYGEN summit in Liverpool.
The summit brought together representatives from six dynamic cities, over 30 prominent companies ranging from developers to tech startups, distinguished Members of Parliament, esteemed investors, academia, and media professionals. The diverse and engaging discussions fostered meaningful connections and insights that will undoubtedly drive positive change in our respective industries.

One of the most significant highlights of the event was the inauguration of the Global TWIN CITIES Initiative. This groundbreaking endeavor is centered around fostering inter-city collaboration, enabling us to collectively harness the power of cooperation and innovation for mutual growth. The potential impact of this initiative, particularly in aiding Ukraine's nation-building efforts, is truly inspiring and holds the promise of a brighter future.
The inevitable part of the Smart City Oxygen Summit was the established collaboration between Korea and Ukraine which was followed by a memorandum signed between Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA) Dmytro Kuzmenko and the Korean delegation.
UVCA invited 7 Ukrainian startups and A startup pitchs from both Ukrainian and Korean delegations were a part of the program as well. All ventures presented can improve life inside the city walls, making it more sustainable and cost-effective:
