We are happy to welcome One Way Ventures to our association! One Way Ventures is an early-stage venture capital fund operating in the U.S. focusing on backing exceptional immigrant founders.
After 20 years of angel investing and three years as Managing Director of Techstars Boston, One Way co-founder Semyon Dukach noticed a trend: immigrant-led companies repeatedly outperformed the rest of his portfolio.
While immigrants only make up 14% of the U.S. population, they start 24% of startups and founded or co-founded 55% of America’s billion-dollar startups.
One Way backs immigrant founders because it believes they have a competitive advantage when it comes to building world-class companies. Notable companies the fund has invested in include Chipper Cash, Nuvocargo, KarmaCheck, Impilo, Lynk, and Helm.ai.
In addition to his work with One Way Ventures, Semyon is also the co-founder of Cash for Refugees, a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to families affected by the war in Ukraine.
Cash for Refugees has served more than 16,000 families and over 39,000 people, made 26 shifts to Ukraine since the beginning of the war, and recently launched a leadership program to empower young Ukrainian women.
