Financing your innovative business with EU funds
In 2016 Polyteda Cloud became the first Ukrainian company which which has attracted funding on business developmentfrom the European Union under the "Horizon 2020" Instrument for small and medium enterprises (second phase).
"Horizon 2020" is a flagship initiative of the European Union aimed at the developing innovations with 80 billioneuros of funding. Instrument for SMEs is a sub-program with a budget of 3 billion euro and gives funding toinnovative companies with high growth potential.
On March 23, Sviatoslav Sviatnenko, in frames of UVCA workshop had shared his experience in getting the grant forPolyteda Cloud. Sviatoslav is the Director of Business Development at Borsch Ventures, which is the investment armof high-tech company KM Core (member of UVCA), which invests in eFarmer, UaRpa, POLYTEDA and works closely with atleast seven other IT companies in Ukraine and abroad.
As the part of the workshop attendees were able to learn about what is the Horizon 2020 SME Instrument, what was asuccess story and thorny way of Borsch Ventures / Polyteda, and what are the key mistakes in the request forfunding. In addition, speaker shared his significant hints for winning the grant that will significantly reduce thelong way of application and let you consider undervalued points of application.
