Investment Breakfast with Ambassador of Canada in Ukraine Roman Waschuk and Trade Commissioner Yury Mardak

One of the formats UVCA usually uses for communication with international colleagues at the highest level is conducting investment breakfasts. Here not only UVCA members but authorized representatives of other States in Ukraine are invited. UVCA organized an investment breakfast with Ambassador of Canada in Ukraine Roman Waschuk and Trade Commissioner Yury Mardak on December 2015.

Canadian venture ecosystem gets a significant support from the State Goverment. For example, there are about 10 public venture capital funds in the country. Obviously we need to make maximum use of strengthening the relations of Canada and Ukraine.On July 11,2016 Ukraine and Canada has signed a Free-trade agreement. Before that in June 2016 representatives of the UVCA visited Canada holding a number of meetings with Ukrainians who develops their startups in Canada, entrepreneurs, investors, representatives of Canadian Venture Capital Association. Today Canadian investors have access to Ukrainian companies, which they can invest in. Our entrepreneurs have got a great opportunity to create a joint businesses, get valuable experience of Canadian colleagues, and of course build global companies from Ukraine.
