All about EBRD
If you've always been curious about the EBRD but needed to know where to start, we invite you to join us on February 26th for a webinar on the Bank and its activities. We will provide an overview of the EBRD, its private equity and venture capital investment programs, and its approach to fund evaluation. We will also have time for Q&A.
Ukraine became a member of the EBRD in 1992. Since then, the Bank has invested nearly €20 billion in 572 projects, becoming one of the largest institutional investors in the real economy. Meet the speakers.
Matteo Patrone. Managing Director, Eastern Europe and the Caucasus (EEC);
Matteo is responsible for the Bank’s operations and policy engagement initiatives in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine with a staff of 180. Besides, he is the Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Business Ombudsman Institution and a Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine. He also serves in the Board of the Ukrainian Corporate Governance Academy.
Anne Fossemalle. Director, Equity Funds;
Anne has been the Director of Funds’ investments at the EBRD since 2009. She has over 25 years of private equity experience and holds numerous LPAC seats with major fund managers within the Bank’s countries of operations.
Michael Parry. Associate Director, Head of Venture Capital Funds;
Michael concentrates primarily on investment investments in venture capital funds across the EBRD region. He previously worked in the private equity practice at McKinsey and Company in London. Michael holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of York.
Konstantin Torgov. Associate Director, Regional Head, Equity Funds;
Konstantin covers a range of geographies and strategies in the EBRD’s Investment Funds Team, having previously worked in EBRD’s Financial Institutions Group. Before joining EBRD, Konstantin worked at Price Waterhouse Coopers’ audit and business advisory services, and subsequently in investment banking with Nomura International in London. Konstantin is a UK Chartered Accountant.
Pavel Dvorak. Principal Banker.
Pavel focuses primarily on investments in venture capital and private equity funds across the EBRD region. In his previous role as an economist, he developed country and sector strategies, assessed the development impact of investments in several sectors including TMT and healthcare, and developed new approaches to supporting innovation in the region.
